Benefits in Kind

The Tax Department has published a guide which explains the tax treatment of certain benefits offered by employers to employees and persons who hold an office. The Tax Department intends to apply the law as from 1 January 2019. Benefits from any office or employment, provided to an employee in cash or otherwise, are subject to tax. There are three main categories of such benefits:-

  1. In relation to cars
  2. For accommodation and use of assets
  3. Any other benefits not included above
